There is still no word on whether Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will be joining James Gunn’s DCU. Will she make it through the upcoming soft reboot?
Margot Robbie’s desire to play Harley Quinn again is a good sign for her return to the DC Universe, even if the reboot isn’t a complete remake.
Margot Robbie might keep playing Harley Quinn in the DC Universe since James Gunn has said he would be happy to work with her again.
Margot Robbie’s success in movies like “Barbie” and the praise she got for playing Harley Quinn make her return to the DC Universe a very good idea.
Margot Robbie rumor concerning Harley Quinn future
In May, there was a rumor going around the internet that Robbie had been hired to play Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), which is DC’s main rival property.
A Twitter account called “DCU Leaks” shared a post saying that Robbie would not play Harley Quinn in any future DC movies because she was working with Marvel. The part would be filled by someone else.
To this, Gunn, who has directed movies in both series, replied:
“Dude, why do you just keep posting lies?
“Sometimes they’re just stupid made up stuff. But other times, making up bulls*** like this about people I care about, can be hurtful. Maybe you’re having a difficult time in life & lying for attention is how you get solace. But please find a better way.”
Margot Robbie Will Play Harley Quinn And Again Work With James Gunn
James Gunn is the best proof we have so far that Margot Robbie will play Harley Quinn in the DC Universe. Gun said in a tweet from 2023 that he would work with Margot Robbie again, which seemed to mean that she would make it through the soft reboot. Gunn’s words didn’t directly confirm that she would stay in his DCU as Harley Quinn, which is a shame. They only confirmed that he is ready to work with Margot Robbie again in some way. But the fact that Robbie’s Harley Quinn has been in one of Gunn’s two DCEU projects is a good sign for her future in the part.
